I have a fondness for horses, and here is another lovely portrait of one. On that note, I’m often asked “do you paint portraits?” It seems the inevitable question that any visual artist must endure. Well, animal portraits, yes. Human portraits I have done, and I might consider doing one under specific conditions that some people know about, but generally I don’t do them. I prefer the kinds of paintings that you see throughout my website (landscapes, seascapes, animals and wildlife, castles, performing musicians, etc.), and that’s diverse enough. Human portraits generally don’t capture my interest.
