Description:
Tobermory on the Isle of Mull is a picture postcard-like village of brightly painted buildings along the pier. It was originally built as a fishing port in the late 18th century.
I painted this in 1998 as a gift for my in-laws, Margot and Wilson MacDonald They loved it and would proudly show it to everyone who visited their home. But they always said it was on loan and would come back to me in the end when they were gone. And that’s what finally happened in 2019 after Margot’s stroke and prior to her death She thanked me again for it and appreciated the painting “Toward the Light” that I completed in her honour.
