This is a view from the rocky shoreline of Georges Bay in Holyrood, Newfoundland. I was struck by the myriad colors on the rocks such that each is so different from adjacent ones. There’s an obvious dominance of pinks in these rocks, but what may not be so visible in the lower resolution photo shown here are blues, greens, violet, yellow, grays, whites, etc. Plus the textures are so different. Above the rocks in the middle is a small red-and-white buoy that signals a lobster trap nearby, which is creating a hazy image of submerged yellow-brown to the right.
