These strikingly colorful buildings caught my eye on a visit to Trinity, Newfoundland. They house the Rising Tide Theatre, which has performed as a theatre company since 1978, and has been based in this arts centre since 2000. From summer through fall each year, evening performances are offered of an array of plays, recitals, music concerts, and entertaining dinner theatre. The schedule changes every few days. It also hosts the “New Founde Land Trinity Pageant,” a “walkabout performance” or walking tour of the town that features on-site skits done intermittently throughout the tour.

This painting took longer than most of this size due to the intricacies of the buildings, including the siding. The field of dandelions seemed daunting and endless, but was actually easy once I got started on it.
