Here is baby Raina at her bath, held securely by her father Cory. The reference photo was taken and provided by her mother, Neeti Tock.

This painting is for the second edition of the textbook, Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Endocrinology: Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Clinical Management. The first edition featured two paintings I’d created to separate the Mother and Child halves of the book, “Feeling Life” and “Nourishing Life.” The first painting also appeared on the cover. For the second edition, the first two paintings will appear in the Mother half of the book, while “Expectant Toddler” (completed yesterday) and “Raina’s Bath” will appear in the Child half of the book.

My thanks to Neeti for providing an assortment of photos for me to choose from, and to use this painting in the textbook and on my website. I’m told that Raina (now age 5) approves of the image too.
