Along the coast near the town of Bay Roberts are jagged rock formations that have been appropriately named Mad Rocks. The fury of the Atlantic Ocean crashing into these rocks is what gave them their name, but they’re best admired at a distance from the walking trail, rather than up close in your boat or kayak.
