Description:
This commissioned work features an 18-foot fiberglass fishing boat called Little Emma, framed by a beautiful sunset and the wharf in Coley’s Point South, Newfoundland. The distant shore is Bareneed, while nearby are other communities with interesting names, including Blow Me Down, The Dock, Ship Cove, and Port de Grave.
Little Emma was named for Emma Walters by her great-uncle Levi Samways, and bequeathed to her after his passing several years ago.
The reference photo was taken about two years ago by Lisa Dawe.
