New painting “Mussels in the Corner”
Off
It’s always a good August when I get to spend some time painting, and this year is no exception. Just 12 days after posting “Uncrossed Lines” to the website, here is a new painting that I completed last night. This is a change of pace, the first of a planned series featuring musical instruments in a Newfoundland setting (I’ll probably have to come up with a name for the series, and I’m open to suggestions about it). There’s a lengthy description with the painting to explain some things about how it came about and why, and to thank the quartet of Woodrows who enthusiastically orchestrated getting the reference photos that I needed. Thanks, gang!
