This morning I finished this wintry scene of water fowl on Quidi Vidi Lake. It unexpectedly led to the discovery of the story of Michael the goose, who lived on that lake for about ten years.

This morning I completed the painting “Foraging,” which depicts a wintry moment, a snapshot in time before a sudden flurry of action. Two nights ago the annual charity auction to support Newfoundland Rugby saw my “Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse” sell for $1,300.
